Please be kind a first time post coupled with not a lot of knowledge of the processes.
Would like to get to Auckland next Feb/March ‘25 in BC. Completely flexible on dates, routes, carriers. I have the above vouchers/miles is it achievable or am I being super stupid/ unrealistic ? Many thanks for any help re process or just some kindly advice.

    Many thanks

I’ll bring honest, that’s not a lot of avios, so hopefully you’re a solo traveller?

Have a read of this thread, which has some ideas:

If you can find availability at the ‘non-flexi’ price, Qatar for 180k is probably the best option, although you can’t use any of the vouchers.

I guess one of the alternatives is to try to get as far east as possible on BA using a voucher, such as HKG, and use avios on a partner, like Cathay, but I have no idea on the availability/costs involved.

If you’re using BA for any of the journey, your “companion” voucher will save you 50% of the avios as a solo traveller. I am assuming it’s from the BAPP Amex, as the free one only gives you a voucher to use in economy. However, the obvious routings like HKG and SIN are extremely sought-after so you will need a booking strategy. Have a look at the threads on here on using avios and the 241/companion voucher.

If you decide to go with QR, bear in mind the standard priced seats can go very quickly. However, you might be able to make your avios go further by travelling in their perfectly good economy class to DOH then onward in business. I’m not sure how this would price up in practice but you can check this on QR or BA websites.
