For at least a couple of years, Avis have been offering a 10% Amazon gift card if you click through the offer on their website.
I’ve never received this automatically. A couple of times I’ve remembered to contact CS and they eventually send the voucher through. Most often I forget.
Has anybody else used the promo and got the gift card, or is it just me?
Tried twice and gave up. Still waiting for BW points from a June promotion and been told I have to wait 90 days.
The only thing that Avis seem to credit promptly are Avios.
I have always had to remind them but get it quickly afterwards.
A common comment on here over time, not just for this, is that people have had to chase up Avis on offers. Though chasing up does seem to produce results from Avis (unlike, say, the consistent feedback on Hilton cashback and BA eshop Hilton over the years – chase but no result).

Just to share my experience on a recent Avis hire in Sweden a few weeks back. Car booked and paid online via Avis UK in late July (using Amazon link). Car dropped off on 22nd August, AVIS Amazon gift card amount dropped into email inbox 28th August (without prompting). Thankfully no chasing with Avis and coupled with deal stacking by using the Halifax Clarity card for a cash back offer on Avis bookings plus a lovely extra 5 hours free hire (for later drop off) in Stockholm made it actually cheaper than any agent/third party website. Amex Platinum (Presidents Club) probably made the later drop off more achievable.
