Avis car hire via BA Shopping

Just got a quote for car rental starting from https://shopping.ba.com/ which took me to https://www.avios.com/spend-avios/rewards/orders/payment

The quoted price was £627.

Getting a quote directly from Avis, the cost is £476.

Plus you can do it via TopCashBack for a further 8% saving, using the BA discount codes if they work out better (or not as the case may be).

Be aware Avis on TCB now decline ex-EMEA bookings.

I didn’t know that, but having looked – way down the bottom of the details it says:

Exclusions:
Bookings made outside EMEA countries

TCB US presumably still works in the US, but only offering 2% at present.
