I’m flying to Boston tomorrow on BA in economy (HBO). I’m silver BA so had selected my seat quite a while ago. I checked on the booking yesterday and all good. I’ve just gone to check in and they say ” as you are Hand baggage Only we have allocated you a seat”. Now I’m pretty sure I already had a seat… that my status allowed me to select in advance… so why does the fact that I’m on a HBO fare negate my status benefits?
Is that standard practice? I was just sitting in a standard aisle seat in the upper deck, absolutely zero reason why I shouldn’t have that seat.
Thanks
Vicky
Could be there’s been a change of plane. BA fly a random selection of aircraft on that route from what I can see.
Still seems to have the same seat map. I’m still in the upper deck, just now in a lovely middle seat.
It’s the end of summer, my guess is you may have been moved to accomodate a family to sit together returning home to Boston
Makes you wonder the value BA gives those of us spending +£7,500 (after tax!) to get to silver.
Presume you have email which says you chose seat. If so contact BA and ask why you’ve been moved to what is clearly an inferior seat.
How full is plane, I’d politely ask to be moved back to aisle if not to PE
