Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BA Club giving different data on diff devices

So when I log into my BA account on two separate phones and an iPad – my account details are different in each one. One shows some tier points earned so far this year, one doesn’t. One shows GfL one just shows Gold. It’s really bizarre. And v few of the future bookings have expected tier points although they are BA website bought tickets. Whole thing is a joke.

Sadly that’s just business as usual. The BA app caches various bits of data, and it’s biggest problem seems to be timing out way too early and failing to establish a back end connection. When that happens – all too frequently and without warning or acknowledgement – it simply displays the last cached data it has regardless of how old it may be.

If you clear the local cache and/or stored data and log in again from scratch it will reset, assuming of course it actually lets you log back in that is! Simply logging out of the app and logging back in will not do anything.

It’s not uncommon for myself and the better half to sit next to each other with our laptops and cell phones. Run exactly the same search criteria and get wildly different prices on BAH. As an example a search for Hard Rock Riviera Maya gave us a price spread of £740 yesterday and £570 this morning. We’ve found this to be the case more often than not over the years and obviously we just book on whichever device gives us the best price.

If they can’t even work out what they want to charge you for flying/ holidaying with them then TPs not showing correctly aren’t even on their radar.
