Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club BA Companion Voucher to Fiji?

    Hi All!

I’ve just qualified for the 2 for 1 voucher (Premier Plus Card) and thinking about going Fiji next year. I understand there are a few routes to get there e.g. Tokyo, Sydney and LAX, however this does not appear on the reward flight finder on the BA site. Can I then assume that I would have to use the voucher for getting to LAX only? My starting point would be London.

    Thanks,

    Rik

You won’t be able to get all the way using the voucher as you can’t use it on (eg) Fiji Airways codeshares.
So, yes, voucher to LAX and onwards from there is likely your best bet. SFO and HKG are other options but fewer onward flights. It will be harder securing reward flights to Tokyo or Sydney.

After rereading your post (not sure whether you have used a 2-4-1 before) I wanted to be clear that you can use the voucher on a return LON-LAX, and you can also use avios to get from LAX-NAN even though you can’t use the voucher on that leg.

When are you planning to travel? There’s an excellent series of articles on here about using avios and the 241, but the best advice you can take is to try & book at T-355 when BA releases reward seats – there were seats showing to TYO at the end of next May when I looked yesterday. Also search with the voucher, not on a “reward finder”-type site because it can give you more availability in CW (see also the article on this).

    Hi All!

Appreciate the advice and all makes sense.

I’ll try to look at LON to either LAX/TOK/SING and then use Avios to get to NAN in Fiji.

    Cheers!
