Hi folks,
Flying to JFK on Friday evening. BA app says flight is “delayed” but with no new time.
Is this common for BA? What does it normally mean? Are we taking 5 mins, many hours or are they likely to completely cancel it?
Flight is BA0183
Thanks
Means they either haven’t allocated an aircraft or the aircraft they have provisionally allocated is having some kind of issue. Wouldn’t worry about it at all, perfectly normal for BA just a bit of a concequence of their flight status being a little too connected into their operations systems
This is one of the downsides of all this tech we have.
At the moment BA flight ops is predicting some sort of delay with the plane due to fly your flight.
In the vast majprity of cases those delays end up vanishing because they managed to reduce the delay – a quicker turnaround or better winds etc or they change planes.
