-
Just checked and my flight tomorrow has been delayed overnight – 14 hours.
BA webchat’s line is that I should still go to the airport for the normal time. The problem is that this is nearly 2 hours away, and there are not many hotels with available rooms near the airport anyway, seems to be quite a bit of disruption.I’d rather just book a basic hotel near where I am staying currently to save myself time and stress, and in all likelihood, save BA money as well. Can I do this?
They’ll almost certainly send you email/SMS with new check in times once the delay is confirmed
Note that the live flight information on BA.com can be a little misleading, sometimes it shows a delay which gets resolved by an aircraft swap so keep an eye
