Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BA Holidays tier point credit

  • 4 posts

Hi all, how long does it take for BA Holiday Tier points to credit under the new scheme?
I’ve had the credit for the flights individually and the avios bonus already but still waiting for the full tier points to credit.

    Outbound 3rd April.
    Return 5th April.

    Thanks

You mean you’ve had Avios for the flights? You no longer receive tier points for flights via BA Holidays.

Instead you get a lump sum from BAH ‘later’.

This assumes you booked after 1st January.

If booked before 30th Dec, TP are still posting under individual flights. The double TP can take up to 14 days I think – I have similar situation and am just awaiting the DTP now.

If it helps, mine have posted:

    – Bonus nTP posted around 3 days after the flight (including AA segments)
    – BAH bonus Avios posted 4 days after return
    – nTPs based on BAH price: none posted yet (returned 5 days ago on 10th April). I read somewhere 7-14 days delay but it’s still unclear how many I’ll receive (on account of the new system being so simple bloody hard to understand).

    Thanks for the responses.

Ahhh I see, yes the 75 per flight is the bonus Tier Points, still nothing for the BAH booking itself, assume that will come later.

    Appreciate it!

I booked a 3 day BAH in September – for travel last week. Only got the 134 (10 X 13.4) TPs each way.

Seems harsh, the cost per person was almost £1k so was hoping for 1,000 TPs each….

I thought you were supposed to get some kind of equivalent, converted number of TPs if you booked before December 31st? How many would you have got under the old system?

I thought you don’t get the 75 TPs bonus if flight/holiday booked before 30 December 2024?

It read to me that @Stan was talking about standard TPs based on spend.

That’s correct. It looks like the flight was only 10 TPs under the old scheme.

Those 134 are supposed to be the same proportion of the status target in th new scheme v 10 under the old one.

Yep, those are the rules for BAHols booked last year. And it was only 10TPs each way to Rome. Increased to 134 new TPs.

Just a shame to fall between the cracks between old and new rules and not get TPs for the actual spend.

Maybe I should have cancelled, lost the £200 deposit, and rebooked it, to get the almost 1000 TPs each.

I fear my May Half term BA holiday that I booked last July will also lose out on spend TPs.

The 2 holidays together would have got my whole family to Bronze….

For @stan totally agreed, some mention those, maybe booked after 30 Dec 24

    Bump!

Has anyone had any new BAH nTPs post yet? 14 days since return and counting. Bonus nTPs posted about as quickly as old TPs would usually posted (2-4 days, more or less) but no sign of the BAH nTPs yet.

Not sure which you are referring to. Got a Double nTP bonus two days ago after returning on the 10th.

Not spend related nTPs if that’s what you mean.

Referring to spend-based BAH TPs awarded under the BAC club rules, i.e. booked this year.

Nothing yet, returned on the 5th April (BA Holiday booked a couple of weeks before). Had the bonus tier points and the BAH Avois but thats it!

I’ve been back just over 2 weeks now and haven’t received any BAH nTPs. I got a random 175 TPs against one of the flights, but my flights, hotel and car came in at over £2k so I have no idea what that random 175 TPs is for, maybe bonus?? I have a feeling their systems aren’t coping with the new structure and divvying up costs into TPs for all parties travelling on one booking!

My booking was for just one person, so there isn’t even any complicated maths involved, such as dividing by 2, that might overwhelm BA’s poor, creaky old IT.

It’s clearly taking BA some time to get its head around these simple to understand new club rules.

175 nTP is the bonus for a Club Europe flight

I flew a BA holiday last weekend that had three flights – one operated by BA, one by Emerald air and one by Aer Lingus, all in economy. The 75 bonus tier points for each of the three flights all posted in three days, but the main BA holiday one have not yet. I was not sure I’d get 3 x 75, so that was a nice result
