Hi
I’m looking to do a 5 night BA Holiday under the double points promo. The outbound flight is overnight so I will only be actually in the hotel for 4. Can anyone advise if I would still receive the double points please?I believe it has to be 5 nights in the hotel for it to qualify
Yes, you need to pay for 5 nights.
Whilst it doesn’t apply to you, a few people have asked how the ‘you must book a hotel for every night’ rule works when your return flight is 2am. Does the BA system for allocating tier points adjust for the fact you obviously didn’t book a hotel for the last day?
Thanks to be on the safe side I might change the flight and pay more. The offer appears for some hotels and not others, has anyone been able to confirm if this is a glitch and I will get the double tier points if I fit the criteria even if the red promo doesn’t appear – I’d hate to not get the points.

BA Holidays seems to automatically book a hotel for the final night when it’s a 2am departure, so I would imagine that if you remove this and do one night less you won’t get the tier points. I just booked the cheapest hotel available for the last night when I had this dilemma, as it seemed worth it for the double tier points.

I’m looking at Dubai but the overnight flight is the cheapest option. I can get a day return ok for some of the dates. I’ll play about with the dates and see what I can find thanks

I too would love to know the answer to this question
Well if you’re willing to pay more, just keep the hotel for 5 nights and make sure they don’t check you out when you leave
An update. I did book for 5 nights in hotel and I did call BA to ask if I would get double points even though it wasn’t showing on the website for my option. I was told it would and that the agent couldn’t explain why the promo was showing for some options and not others
