BA Holidays – non-listed hotels

Does anybody have any experience of BA Holidays being able to book rooms at hotels not listed on their website?

Whilst they have a pretty large selection, our specific needs can’t be met. I’ve found something suitable on booking.com, but was considering booking it via BA if they can get the inventory. Especially if they extend the Double TP offer beyond December- though I probably wont know that in time!

I have had experience in the past of them booking me a room CATEGORY not listed on their site.

Have you tried the BA Avios hotel booking site? It has a larger selection that BA holidays and gives 15 Avios/£, a greater return than from a holiday booking – but you don’t get the additional protection that comes with BA holidays, of course, or the ability to pay just a deposit.

Thanks. Yes, I had checked this previously and have used this service. Actually, via phone when I modified a reward booking and it got booked as an Avios Group package holiday. Price was competitive and the Avios arrived. I note the prices aren’t ALWAYS competitive so the 15/£ are coming at a bigger cost.

They do have “my” hotel listed, but not for my dates. (It is still on booking.com for my desired dates) so either the Avios Hotels inventory is exhausted, or for this particular hotel they are only releasing at 365 days out.
