Hi, I have a BA Premium Plus companion voucher expiring by the end of March 24 and I’m looking at flight availability from London to Singapore. Although I’m flexible on dates, there’s no Busines class seats currently available. is there a way to view what days it’s possible to see when ‘I’ Class seats are available? I’m aware the feature of the Premium Plus voucher was that it opens up avios redemption seats should there be space, however I’ve never used it before and there’s very little accessible information on how it works. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
There’s a lot of information on here in the relevant threads – look in the BAEC section for any headings referring to the 241.
You can only search on specific dates for the extra I class availability, but you may have more luck if you try starting in one of the regions (again see the relevant articles and threads here for more on that).
SeatSpy is showing F and CW available on March 12/13 next year, so you could compromise and fly out in PE and back in style as a last resort!

There is very little availability, but if you do a reward flight search starting from Manchester you will find outbound on 19 Feb and return on 5 March.

Thanks, that’s really helpful. Please can I ask how you found the CW flights on Seatspy? I also use Seatspy and it only shows Economy and Premium Economy on 12/3 but when I try via the BA site using the Companion Voucher it does open up an extra CW option, like you said. Unfortunately on Economy flying back at the moment, as far as I can see.

You can only see regular availability on seatspy. Extra “I” class unlocked with the voucher is only visible on BA’s site.
You generally need a decent number of I seats to be available before you can use the companion voucher’s extra availability.
A quick check on Expertflyer (which shows I class inventory) for random 6-day periods in February and March shows a wall of “I0” – meaning no I class fares available, and thus no extra availability on the companion voucher. There are a couple of days with I2, but that’s still nowhere near enough. Most of the flights still say J9, so there are plenty of seats – just not cheap ones.
It might improve once the current sale ends (as weird stuff happens with redemption availability during sales), but that’s a long time to wait!
