Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BA not updating my tier points!

  • 11 posts

Hi does anyone have any advice I have called Ba multiple times about tier points not been updated and they keep brushing me of by saying it’s been escalated.

I went to Marrakesh 5-10 Feb 23 part of a Ba 5 day holiday…business class flights and hotel package.

I have tried to claim the points online but it keeps coming with an error message.

“ Internal Server Error Received from IAGL API CLAIMS – postClaim. Please Refer Response Code and Description for more details in server log.”

Anyone had similar issue or know how i can resolve this.

    Thanks

    Seki

Which tier points are you missing?

If you are missing double tier points, then you can resolve it by being patient 😉

If you last flew on the 10th February, then BA has until 24th February to post the double tier points.

I think waiting over 12 months is pushing patience to the limit if indeed the flights were feb 23 as noted.

Have you received your regular tier points from the flight?

Bonus tier points should credit within 14 days of last flight.

Your last flight was on the 10th of February, so your 14 days are not up yet.

Did not see that! Specsavers for me, I think!! 😀

Gosh OP, that’s very bad and apologies for missing this and thanks Sean for flagging.

You say you have called – have you emailed them as well about this?

I have had no tier points what so ever from that flight. I am due double tier points but we shall see.

    Thank you

NP and good luck – do email them. If you read the thread I linked, I think there are a couple of email addresses that seem to get more response than others.

Unfortunately nothing, and not even my regular tier points. I will see what happens at day 14.

I find it strange because I had a more recent flight on 17th Feb, the first leg was updated within 3 days of landing. I still await the last leg as I have only landed 2 days ago.

@seki which year did you fly, 2023 or 2024? Your last post seems to suggest this year. If that is the case, then as the other posters have said you’ll need to wait for the 14 days. Slightly unusual that the standard points have not posted yet though.

Even if it was Feb 2023 flights that TP collection year has now ended.

I’d it’s feb 2024 flights then it’s too soon to chase.

OP needs to clarify on the exact dates of all the flights concerned.

BA stole tier points from me a few years ago and no matter how many times I called I never got them.

Reason #56743 to never fly BA.

Couldn’t have stolen them if they were never yours to start with.

lol pal you pay for J to Manila and fly on a big metal cylinder with British airways written down the side of it and see if you’re still ok with BA not crediting to your account

I flew this year … 5th Feb – 10th Feb. Not sure why it’s not applied automatically after flying. But hey let’s see what happens in a few days.

Yes sorry to all who replied slight typo error on my original post .. due to the frustration with Ba customer service.

I flew to this year Feb 5-10. Not 2023

I have since flown on 17 Feb to Lisbon and have received those tier points for the our-Lis leg. I still await the return leg but I only landed on the 20th Feb.

Silly question @seki but were all parameters from the BA offer satisfied? – it just seems strange that you haven’t received your regular tier points either:

This promotion is only open to Eligible Participants. An Eligible Participant is a person who has a British Airways Executive Club membership and who books and travels on a Qualifying Booking (see definition below). British Airways Holidays reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants. By taking part in this promotion, Eligible Participants confirm that they unconditionally accept the Terms and Conditions set out below.

    1. A “Qualifying Booking” is a British Airways Holidays booking that meets all of the following criteria:

    a) The booking must be for a British Airways Holidays Flights + Hotel or Flights + Car or Flights + Hotel + Car package.

    b) The booking must be made by a UK resident and must originate and end in the UK.

    c) The booking must contain British Airways flights including codeshares and British Airways marketed and/or operated flights only. Flights not meeting these criteria within the booking won’t be awarded Tier Points. Flights offered as part of a British Airways Holidays package that are provided by other airline partners that do not have a BA flight number will not be eligible. Please note: Flights marketed by British Airways with or without a BA flight number that are operated by Aer Lingus, China Southern or LATAM are not eligible for Tier Points.

    d) The hotel/car element of the package must be for a minimum of five nights within the flight travel dates for travel before 31 December 2024.

    e) The hotel/car element of the package must be used i.e. hotel occupied and or car rental hired for the full booked duration.

    e) The total trip length (time between first flight departing the UK and final flight returning to the UK) cannot exceed 30 days.

    f) Bookings can only contain one flight departing the UK, multiple journeys from the UK within one booking will not qualify.

    g) The participant must register their British Airways Executive Club number against their booking prior to travel.

    g) Bookings can only contain one flight departing the UK, multiple journeys from the UK within one booking will not qualify.

    h) The participant must register their British Airways Executive Club number against their booking prior to travel.

As in, you didn’t add a hotel after the flight booking, you received all of the paperwork that go along with BA Holidays (certificate), hotel/car rental duration etc etc?

Depending on when @seki booked the trip, those may not be the right Ts & Cs. They appeared towards the end of September last year.

I believe all those are were satisfied.

Not sure why these things are not simple.

I’m still waiting for Iberia flights to update to on top of this. But it’s only been 3 days I can’t expect Ba to be this quick. Even though it should be seamless

    Patience is a virtue.

    Not everything can happen instantly.

It takes 3 days for a BA flight to reach your BAEC account.

Partner flights can take longer and BA has no control of that because they are waiting for info from the partner.

    Yes thanks.

Just a little update … so I called the executive team and was told that because it was a double tier point package the need to do all their checks back end. This could take up to 8 weeks after landing. Apparently they will check with all the departments hotel teams, car hire team, ba holidays team etc.

So I guess it’s a waiting game … pretty rubbish because I would be gold by May at this rate.
