BA PP – but will I still qualify for Amex Gold sign on points?

I am sorely tempted by the BAPP and the 60,000 avios, however I will definitely want to apply or the Amex Gold later this year. I have not held either for >25 months.

If I apply for a BA PP this month, will I still qualify for the sign-up on the Amex Gold later this year?

Nope.

The other way is possible. First sign up for gold and then the BAPP.

You can get a Platinum bonus. You might as well get that and then trade down to Gold.
