Following yesterday’s announcement of a significant expansion of the BA/LM codeshare agreement, how do you find out how many Tier points are awarded on Loganair flights with BA flight numbers?

Check the flight-calculator on BA’s website.

Well I did that and it’s not there, hence the question here!

Are you perchance looking to see of Loganair is in the drop down menu?

If so that’s where you are goign wrong. You need to have BA selected as the programme you want to credit to and not the airline operating the flight.

Becaue I just did a randim route and the avios / TPs do appear.

Let me see if I can be more helpful 🙂 The Avios/TPs do not yet appear for the newly-added codeshares, which is what the OP was asking about.

However, since all LM flights are in the under-500-mile category I would imagine they will follow the pattern on previously-existing codeshares, which is the same for every flight I can find, thus:
    Class Avios TPs
    (Q,O,G) 125 5
    (K, L, M, N, S, V) 250 10
    (Y, B, H) 500 20
    (R, I) 750 40
    (J, C, D) 1250 40

I’ve italicised the business class fare buckets as I don’t believe these are bookable even as part of a wider BA business class itinerary eg even if you book JFK-LHR-MME on BA it will still clearly book you into economy on the LM-operated bits. Incidentally, itneraries involving BA+Loganair are still showing all kinds of absurd bugs on ba.com eg the baggage allowance appears in the bit where the flight details are meant to be, and it puts the BA flight first in the itinerary even if it’s not in the correct order. Crazy that nobody at BA notices/cares about this stuff.

TL;DR – most people will get 5 or 10 Tier Points

How does a BA Exec Club holder claim Avios and Tier points? Loganair is not listed as a partner airline on the Claim Avios/Tier points page on BAEC. Also despite booking a flight via BA site and being BA Gold, seat selection is not available.

    Thanks!
