Hello,
We have a BAH trip planned right at the end of the TP year. This trip will trigger the double TP offer.
If we can ask BA for the two week grace period for both the TPs earned on the flights and the BAH promotion that will be very helpful.
Has anybody been able to do that before?
Thanks
Are the dates of the flights within the TP year? Do you want the TPs in the existing year?
The dates could look something like this:
Total TPs = 500
Day 1 – First flight 40 TPs (Total TPs = 540)
Day 2 – TP year ends (Total TPs = 0)
Day 5 – Return flight 40 TPs (Total TPs = 40)
Usually BA will credit the 40 TPs of Day 5 to the previous year so you now have total TPs 580. But given the double TP offer could one then get the extra TPs back tracked too so you have 620?
Do the Day 5 double TPs also can be backdated so you end the year with 660?
I am afraid that your day 5 TP will now be awarded on day 5.
For the Double TPs, they usually backdated to the inbound flight.
In my case, I had a BA Holiday trip back in October and my TP years ends on the 8th Nov.
My inbound flight was on the 26th October (which the flight TP was awarded on 29th but counted in the previous TP year). The Double TP was awarded after the 8th but backdated it to the 1st Nov and they are awarded as one lump sum.
