Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BA trying to charge me

  • 370 posts

I made a 241 reservation. I needed GIG-EDI for the return but as I booked as soon as the GIG-LHR was available, the connection from LHR-EDi was not available as it was a next day flight so I just booked the GIG-LHR and called today to add the connection as its now available. BA want to charge me a change fee as they say the LHR-EDI was available when I booked the GIG-LHR. Can someone just check my dates please before I hang up and call again?
I booked at 1am UK time on on the morning of 19th September 2023 for flight GIG-EDI on 7th September 2024 with regional connection on 8th September 2024. Thanks

You look right, they look wrong.

@Froggee I was right, they were wrong. HUACA worked perfectly. No arguing, the connection was added on, no change fee and no extra taxes which surprised me….can’t complain.

How long does it take for a change to a booking to be ticketed? A bit worried here as there were no extra taxes to pay that it won’t be ticketed… I can see it in MMB and can select seats but no ticket number is attached and the first sector still has the original ticket number attached. Not sure if I should expect a single ticket number that covers both sectors or 2 individual ticket numbers for each sector…

Thanks @Joecooljoe, looks like the ticket number is now showing on the final sector. It’s the same number as the first sector. I’m still surprised I paid no taxes on the LHR-EDI leg….
