BA8759 08Sep24 LCY-BCN official cancellation reason?

BA8759 LCY-BCN today (08Sep) cancelled at last minute today.

Does anyone have access to the official reason for cancellation?

I know there’s been a fair bit of weather disruption so want to see if EC261 would apply or not to this flight.

Currently in Uber going wrong way round M25 from LCY-LGW for replacement evening Vueling flight. Road closure means a longer drive than the flight!

Keep an eye on this FT thread which should list cancelled flights and their reasons (thoughnot necessarily in real time) or post the flight there and someone will look into it

Gold line “didn’t know” the reason for cancellation!

Just keeping fingers crossed the rebooked flight doesn’t get cancelled when I arrive at Gatwick!

I hope you are not on the 1820 because that has 3hr 20 minute delay.

I am indeed on the Vueling 1820, or I’d like to be. Yes 3.5h further delay. Was even worse earlier. A few other BA LCY refugees waiting at LGW for the Vueling gate staff. Inbound just landed so that’s something.

That plane seems to have picked up delays on every leg. I hope you take off soon! I recommend the cava, should you be a drinker.
