Just cancelled my 241 redemption over Christmas to Bahrain. Will probably be available to book tomorrow. Dates 24-31 December. Really disappointed as BA changed my Manchester connection twice meaning long layover. Also now lost my 241 as it expires in Jan. Hope someone books and enjoys Bahrain at Christmas 🎄
How long was the layover to make you abandon your Christmas trip?! You can’t take anything for granted with MAN connections atm. All our current bookings involve connecting to LHR the day before – for our Easter trip to GCM the only option I was given was the 11:50 MAN-LHR service the day before. Will just have to lounge around at the Sofitel but we should be well rested for the long haul leg! At least if they get cancelled again we have more options if not on a same-day connection.

Are BA paying for the hotel?
It was 2 hours which would have been fine in lounge (a drink or 3) but now almost 4 hours each leg. Had it with BA. Every flight I book is changed before I go!
4 hours isn’t actually that much given the reduction in the timetable. We had 6 hours in the T5 lounge a few years ago, I had the longest shower ever, hair washed, conditioned and blown dry lol. Not much you can do though when only LHR serves your destination and the prospect of a 4 – 6 hour drive home is unthinkable after an overnight flight!
@Aston100, no, we deliberately booked to fly the night before as we have so many issues with the domestic connections, but then our 5pm-ish flight was cancelled and the much earlier one was the only option given to change to. It’s not enough of a big deal to try and speak to anyone at BA to argue over, and in any case if we did manage to get moved to a later connection it would probably get cancelled again (or the long haul would).
My MMB is awash with red cancelled MAN connections just now!

Sorry but 4 hours isn’t that long and allowing for the LHR connections process and boarding close time will be less than 3 hours and even on your original timings would have been closer to an hour of lounge time.
But I – and others – may simply have different tolerance to schedule changes than you which is fine as we are all different .
