Do anyone happen to know, as I’m struggling to find the answer to this. Does the owner of the voucher have to travel on the booking?
I have a planned trip where I really wish I could use this years voucher but don’t have it in hand until 27th April (traveling on the 17th)
If I cancel (take the £35 hit) & start again, I’m wondering if a friend or colleague who has one available could use theirs for my trip & I’ll reciprocate by using mine on their booking when they come to make it.
If that’s even possible I assume they’d also have to be on my friends and family list or part of the household account to actually get reward seats in their name also…

Plenty of info here, especially the heading “Who can use the voucher”!
I’ve just read this Rob posted in Jan… Same article..! Apols I thought I’d read it somewhere recently.
ANYONE can fly using your upgrade voucher
This is important. The voucher is semi-transferable.
Whilst the flight must be booked from the account of the person who receives the voucher, the flight can be booked for anyone. The usual restrictions apply if you are in a British Airways Executive Club Household Account – ie the flyer must be in your Household Account or on your Friends & Family list.
