Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Be Our Guest voucher time

  • NotTheRealRob 92 posts

Hi have recently been awarded a Be Our Guest voucher from Hilton due to a previous stay. In the email it says wait upto 60 days. Does it really normally take that long? In past experience how long can I normally expect to wait in uk. I have a stay I’d like to use it in.

    Thanks in advance

They ship it by fedex from the USA. Yes it can take a while, think mine took a month 😢

It takes a month, I agree.

One thing I didn’t know about the voucher was that you can only use it on dates/hotels that have regular award availability — easy to check online. And you may need to call to book — Hilton app calls you for free.

In my first time, I was hoping to use it at WA Amsterdam :)) Utterly disappointed…

I think you can only use them in the brand you had the issue in e.g., you had an issue in Doubletree so the voucher can only be redeemed in a Doubletree. You can’t get a BMG voucher for a complaint at a HGI and then redeem at WA.

It varies. One is across brands, the other one is brand specific.

I got it for Doubletree and redeemed at Curio and Hilton.
    I could at WA.

WOW well maybe it would teach them to actually respond to what was actually a minor set of complaints in comparison. The hotel took a long time to reply and offer 10,000 points then two weeks before the points posted and I had to remind them. In this time Hilton sent out the “how was your stay” email and I ended up with a voucher.

Honestly I would have been happy if the manager had sat down and listened to us when we were there and offered us a drink or something.

I got two be my guest certificates. How much for that 🤣

To be fair I spent £9k and they downgraded me as a Diamond, it was probably a better/bigger room but they just kept denying it. Booked sea view, got river view. Also got a refund for difference in room price

Which hotel is both by a sea and a river?

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort might fit the bill.

How was the hotel and area other than the room issue you had.

    bigmaggot 29 posts

Despite the issue last year, we were there last week for half term.

Great food, drinks and entertainment. Didn’t leave the resort but there are plenty of cheap activities around.

They allow 2 kids free in any room with 2 adults when paying with points.

Upgraded to lake house for £80 a night. Split bill between 2 Amexes for two £50 Amex offer credits which is a bonus!

    I would go back again.

I go there all the time too for the villas.

Surrounding areas are splendid if you have time.
