Benefits on AA (BA flight number) as BA gold

Thinking of booking a cash ticket economy hand luggage only fare on BA website in economy LHR – NYC – LHR BA flight number but operated by American

What benefits BA gold benefits do I get on AA booking this way ? Do you get extra legroom seats foc as a gold on a hand luggage only fare with BA flight number on AA

Booking on AA website is more than on BA

Reason booking AA times suit better

Never done that in Economy, but I got free bulkhead seats in Premium on AA with BA Gold, so I would be optimistic.

thanks , 3 of us will be travelling however im the only one with status .. will all of us get free seat assignment on a hand baggage only fare or just me ?

Standard rules apply, so everyone on the same booking gets seat selection. Only one guest in the lounge though.

I did think I would get a free checked in piece of luggage as BA gold (on a hand luggage only fare ) but it doesn’t say anywhere it’s included , just says hand luggage only fare on the AA website

You should get checked bags, it’s more than one on an avios booking but not sure about cash. If you look up OW Emerald benefits on AA, there will probably be something in there.

We found on our last AA flight (US domestic), the baggage weighing system recognised my status and didn’t charge for our bags; at LHR, if applicable, you should be able to show your status to the check in agent, and I’d always have a screenshot or print of the policy in case they don’t know it!
