Discuss today's stories:
Could you recommend on what is the best way to spend single voucher from Barclays Premier – comparing to the fact that a lot of lowcosters has much better options for a flights in terms of cost?
Personally I’ve crunched all the numbers and find it worthwhile to travel in CE to Canary islands- you get fast track, lounge, extra space, food and drinks, lots of luggage (great when you’ve got kids, take their toys, food etc) and Heathrow is most convenient for me . To have to pay for even the bits that I do need on an Easyjet / Ryanair flight soon adds up
If you’re looking at a Euro city break for a couple then no, probably doesn’t make financial sense, although it’s still a nice treat!
As above, cash prices can be very high, especially at peak times. I am using an upgrade voucher for a return trip in CE to Malaga over half term, current cash price is over £1500!! (Yet CE cabin is up to row 13 and nearly full 😱)
Conversely I am doing a quick family/Xmas market trip to Limoges in December, £33.50 return on Ryanair so you need to be selective about when to use cash and when to use avios/vouchers.
