Okay Brum might not be a top destination, but I’m gonna be there for a few nights next month and looking for advice on where to park overnight, without getting my car vandalised or cannabalised !

Somewhere central or around the jewellery sector. And secure!

    Thanks

I parked at Q-Park Brindleyplace last time I did this and it was OK, but not stellar. I’m thinking of Paradise next time based on reviews though you can’t pre-book, so no idea if you can actually get a space.

Yup either one of those are good shouts I’ve never had an issue getting a space at paradise or QPark or snow hill NCP (not 24hrs)

When our son was at UOB we used to park at the Town Hall car park (the red cage) for a weekend. We have a large BMW and the size of space is normally an issue, this was fine. Never encountered anything crime-wise. Very convenient location to the shops too.

Another vote for town hall car park, easy to get in and out also. Not faced any issues so far.

Currently here right now and free parking on most side streets on a Sunday meaning I could pull up outside the aloft entrance and not have to pay anything

Less worried about paying than finding most of my car and wheels have gone on an overnight !!

Thanks for the advice, NCP Snow Hill or Town Hall look like they will do the job.

Wherever you park, don’t stay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole ;o)))

Plenty of free parking near Hampton Jewellery Quarter, to the north of B4100. Lots of mercs and BMWs so I never felt my own car was a target for vandalism.

Londoners concerned about crime elsewhere is akin to Americans enquiring about safety in foreign countries.

Are you signed up to JustPark – very easy to do if not. The Mailbox Q-Park comes out at £8/day which you’ll struggle to beat. And probably the most secure car parks I know in Brum.

Just taken a look at piccies – I think you win @desgy. It’s a little further to the ICC for me, but still only 10 mins walk. Thanks!

B4 parking is really good and underground secure. You can register on their app / website before and just drive in and out and they bill you for the hours.

Come out more than that for me, but it’s security I’m interested in most, thanks

I park at Totnes, and get the train ( and i’m a Brummie ) cars losing a lot of their exterior seems to be a thing, Plod probably got other priorities.

Steer clear of Digbeth then – quite a few cases this year of people finding their cars have been stripped for parts while they were parked for a few hours.
