Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Book ticket through BA call centre using wife’s companion ticket

  • 63 posts

Hi, I suspect the answer to this is no, but wanted to check. I am looking to book specific flights 355 days out and was going to phone the call centre at midnight to grab them. Only problem is I am looking to use a companion ticket which is issued to my wife…I assume the call centre won’t speak to me given its issued in her name? If so will need to try my chances online at midnight! Any advice appreciated, thanks

Your wife can designate you or anyone as a third party nominee via her BAEC online. CSA will ask for the password when ringing to book/redeem.

Online is of course another option.

    Ah great thanks!

As above and make sure you start the conversation with “I am an authorised person on my wife’s account” to avoid any misunderstandings that might slow the booking down!

On a general note…companion voucher holder still needs to be on the flight (outbound flight at least) even if a nominee is added.

I’ve said it before: in this day and age, you can just tell them “Gender is a social construct”.
So long as you know all your wife’s details you should be fine.
You don’t even need to alter the pitch of your voice.
