Using a 2-4-1 voucher I booked my outbound when the flight was released. Voucher deducted & flight fee paid.
Then using the knowledge here, I booked the inbound by phone a few weeks later when it was released.
However, during the change/add, I was charged an amended fee (was told here that is not right).
My voucher was also wrongly returned to me & I was not charged any extra money.
I called BA & they took my voucher away (correctly), but was told they could take any more money as it is done by a different department. This was 5 months ago.
I have still not been charged despite chasing BA on a few occasions.
The flights are still showing in my booking, except the luggage for the inbound is set to none.
BA told me the luggage will be added once I am charged for the inbound flight.
I cant seem to talk anyone who can actually bill me correctly, return my amendment fee & add my luggage.
Do I just wing it if nothing is done & just pay for luggage on the day? Will be taking 4 bags between 2 (2 suitcases & 2 sports/snow luggage)
Is the return actually ticketed? It should have a ticket number beginning 125- visible via MMB. If so then you’re good to go and at worst just pay on the day (you shouldnt need to pay as baggage is included in Avios bookings) If not you definitely need to keep pestering BA as you may be denied boarding for the return.
Hmm, I have 2x ticket numbers, 1 for each passenger does this cover both flights?
Or should there be 2x or 4x? Ie 1 each for each flights.
Both say
Return just says We are unable to display your checked baggage allowance in Manage My Booking. Please check your ticket or e-ticket receipt to obtain the details of your free baggage allowance.
Your baggage allowance is different on your other flights
Do you have just one PNR for both outbound and return flight? If so try going to Royal Jordanian or Finnair website and keying in the PNR to then get an emailed e-ticket receipt. That will confirm if you are ticketed in both directions.
The reason I ask is that I am not sure whether you have two ticket numbers issued when you call to add a reward flight not available for booking at the same time as the outbound.
You can usually see the ticket number for both outbound and return legs when you select either flight. But given your issues with the baggage allowance I have a suspicion the return flight isn’t actually ticketed.
I think I’d be wary just relying on the return flight appearing in MMB especially with the issues you had booking it.
HMMM
The E-Ticket PNR was issed before the change.
BA processed my booking as a change.
Through Finnair my email intinery is only showing one flight, so I guess I need to call BA.
Just to add, I have checked other reward flights & I only have a single e-ticket number for each passenger with those as well (ie 2 e-ticket numbers, 1 for each passenger)

It is right that each of you will usually just have one ticket number but you need to see in the app that it shows against all your flights. Under view/change your seats for each sector it has flight duration, aircraft and ticket number and the last needs to be shown against every flight. If it isn’t, it hasn’t been ticketed.

Perfect, no E-Ticket showing for the return, but is for the outbound (BA changed my flight & the old flight is also showing no e-ticket) – so will be giving BA a call. Thanks. Will give an update one I have spoken to them.
OK – think it sorted.
I was told it can take up to 5 days for the e-ticket, but at least he took payment for return!
Thanks all.
Email today & I have finally been ticketed & debited correctly 🙂
Would never have known about the ticketing thing!
I am glad you got it sorted out. The ticket number showing against each flight is crucial. It would have veen very frustrating to have arrived at the foreign airport for the return flight and only found at that point that it hadn’t been ticketed.
Yes as they have to call BA the same as us (or worse, just tell you too!) Glad you got it sorted
