Forums Other Destination advice Booking a Day Room in a hotel in Sydney

Has anyone had any experience with this and can make any recommendations? Leaving a cruise in Sydney on 2nd November, and our flight isn’t until around 9.30pm that evening, so looking for somewhere to leave luggage, then have a freshen up later before leaving for the airport.

I’ve found a couple of websites like dayuse.com, just wondering if I’d get better options by contacting hotels directly? I did contact the Novotel, as found something on their website about day rooms, but they’re full up that day.

My experience of day use has been in the US and it seems that hotels tend to use sites like that rather than offer it themselves.

You can book a day room with Hilton on the app/website by putting the same date for check in and out, but the two Hiltons in Sydney are quite expensive (in general, and for your date).

Thanks both. I’ve pinged a couple of hotels, but the day use websites seem to be fairly reasonable for what we want, so unless the hotels end up coming back with amazing prices I’ll just book through the day use.

I have no local knowledge to help here, but in general I have found independent hotels close to the airport often have good value day use rooms. That does mean going from circular quay to the hotel, back to where you want to be a tourist, then back to the airport again, but a taxi should do it in 20-30 minutes – train a similar time.

I would be doing a Google map search for day use hotel by the airport.
