Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Booking a redemption flight from a BA household account

    Hi all,

I’m trying to book a one-way Edinburgh to Nice award flight for a family member (who is listed in my Family & Friends list) and am having some trouble.

At no point in the booking process does it allow me to select anyone other than me as the passenger. The booking is simply for one passenger.

Could there be a temporary issue with the system? I have both household account members and family & friend members who I have booked for previously, but I can’t see where I’m going wrong. I’ve tried both on laptop and mobile a few hours apart and had the same issue.

    Thanks for any assistance offered!

There should be a check box that says something like “is the person paying for the booking travelling?”

If there is unclick it and you should be able to add in the actual traveller.

As ChrisC says – I did this for my son a couple of weeks ago with no issues. Then you fill in the payment details to show you’re paying for the flight with whatever card you’re using.

Thanks for the responses. The radio button does show for the ‘is the person who is paying actually travelling?’, but when I select ‘no’ nothing happens (have logged out and back in and have also tried a different browser). I would expect at that point a drop-down appears with all the names linked to the account, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening at the minute. Will try again tomorrow.
    Cheers

This is also being commonly reported over on FlyerTalk – if you have tried clearing your cache, and different browsers, then you might have to call – and good luck with that!

Thanks, this is helpful to know.
