Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Booking BA Reward Flights At Midnight On Web Site

There was a similar thread to this last year, but with a different resolution!

In previous occasions, I’ve always called the Exec Club phone number at midnight to book reward flights (355 days out). Last time I did this, the chap on the phone said I could book online. So this time (last night at midnight GMT) I tried this out…

Unfortunately, I could not select 25th October 2025 for a reward flight booking in the date selector. I refreshed. It didn’t work. I’m in the UK, so my local computer clock was showing the correct date and time. After half an hour of refreshing I gave up.

This morning (same day – six hours later) at 6.30pm, I could select 25th October 2025, but by that time all the BC reward seats had gone 🙁

I have lots of date flexibility, so I booked an earlier date that had reward seat availability, so it’s no big deal.

I suspect that there was some reason at the BA end for late release of reward seats to the web site. The moral of the story is, always call the Exec Club phone line and don’t use the web site at midnight!

I don’t understand why you just didn’t call when you started having problems booking online?! And why you were online at midnight if you have lots of date flexibility, lol.

Anyway, good result for getting seats, even if they weren’t your first choice!

It’s a bit of a saga, but for reasons passing human understanding, I can’t call a foreign phone number at the moment (Japan in this case). We had a strong preference for the Saturday flight, but we can live with the Wednesday one (it’s a hard life). As a special bonus, the Wednesday flight is off-peak whereas the Saturday one isn’t, so we save a few Avios on the booking.

I’m going to get my phone sorted for international calls in the next few days for when I do the midnight-crazy to amend the booking to include a return leg…

The original calendar glitch was fixed, but it is not updating the newly released date until 1am. (Tickets ARE being released)

However, you could have selected 24th and paged forwards which is what I did. However, probably of no consolation now, but may help others.

I tried that too and it didn’t work!
