Booking JNB to MAN using Avios

I was doing a dummy booking for 4 December 2024 but only the JNB to LHR flights are available, presumably because the LHR to MAN flight departs on the 5th. Do I need to phone to add them when they become available? If I book separately it will cost me additional Avios and it won’t be a through ticket.

Maybe a bit late now but yes, that’s fine.

I did the same from MRU and my connection was the day after. Booked to LHR (well LGW as it happens), called up next day and they added the final sector FOC
