Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Booking outbound online just under 355 days before flight

I’m trying to sort business class flights to Sydney for my parents (no 241 unfortunately).

There is availability for next September outbound. Is it possible to book these seats online, and then book the inbound tickets (economy for inbound) also online, adding to the same ticket? Or is it advisable to call BA to do the whole process over the phone?

I’m hoping to avoid the whole calling at midnight thing to secure these seats. There are currently 4 business class sets so hoping to get this sorted as easily as possible!

    Thanks for your help.

Booking separately will mean that they will have 2 separate PNRs, which BA won’t combine or link if booked individually.

There are pros and cons to this, e.g., it makes it easier to just change or cancel one leg if necessary, but also if they decide to cancel the entire trip for whatever reason they’ll pay the £35 pp cancellation fee twice.

But it shouldn’t make any difference to the amount of avios and cash they’ll pay.

Definitely grab the outbound as soon as possible, don’t wait for the inbound to be released first.

Thanks. Can they book outbound online instead of calling, then call up in a few weeks to book the inbound and have it added to the outbound that was booked online?
Or best to call for both?

They will be separate bookings! They will not be added together.

Since there is no voucher involved they can be booked online – that’s if the avios seats are still available.
