Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Booking Qatar flights when a year out when they become available

  • 56 posts

    Hi all

Looking for some advice about booking qatar flights the moment they become available for a high demand route. Is there a definitive guide anywhere regarding – what time they come available (and is that the UK time, Qatar time, or the time in the country of departure?), and is it best to book direct on Qatar instead of BA in terms of when they become available first?

I am looking to book standard price, not the double price that has enhanced availability.

    All know-how/advice is welcomed.

    Thanks!

Qatar opens up at 360 days, so 5 days before BA can see them.

Thanks. Any idea time of day?

Be careful when planning in advance with Qatar. They have black out periods in business for award redemptions on certain routes. This means they sometimes release no seats or only flexi fares (double the avios) 360 days in advance.

As above, it’s worth tracking them day by day as they’re released starting a couple of weeks before the day you want to book, to get a feel for pricing.

I booked economy seats DOH-MAN for late Dec 2023, I was hoping for business but they never appeared at the standard price.
