Requested over the phone and avios price and taxes price for male to lhr via Qatar. Recieved information on the phone and told they will send to their taxes team to send over price. Not heard anything since, but booking is now in my account? Haven’t used any avios or paid anything. Can anyone confirm what’s happened?

GSounds about right. They create the booking but I suspect you won’t see a ticket number there. It will be issued when you’ve paid.
You’ll usually get an email that BA are trying to contact you. Then you can call in and if you’re happy with the price they’ll take the payment info and issue the ticket
The tricky bit with partners is they sometimes drop the seats so if you haven’t heard anything soon then call in and chase it up
I had similar, booking appeared but no ticket number until I’d paid the taxes and had Avios deducted.
