Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Booking Santiago using Future Travel Voucher. Seats go quickly

  • 6 posts

    Hi,
I need to book Business Class flights to Santiago in the next couple of weeks. The seats appear to disappear within a few hours at present.

I would like to use up a FTV with 2-4-1 (requiring a call) although I do have the option to use a new 2-4-1 also that I could use on the website (prefer not to).

I believe that call Japan at midnight GMT is an option. Will they take the FTV and how long does it take to get through.

I will need to book a return from Buenos Aires that also seem to go quickly too. I will need to do this on the website as I will be on a cruise and unable to call. I have adequate avios to phone up at a later date to amalgamate.

    Thanks for advice

You can call in to Asia as you say, best to get them on the line before midnight and clear security and tell them what you want. They can then pick up the seats as soon as they release and finalise the booking

A call centre actually has an advantage over the Web as they hold the availability before the details are finalised whereas online you have to pay first

No problem to book the return using Avios- you won’t get the taxes difference back but from South America this isn’t usually much of a issue
