Is there a way to search for Saudia reward availability using virgin miles that is accurate?
As far as I’m aware, Saudia flights do not appear on the Virgin Atlantic website so the only way to book them is over the phone. I tried this a few weeks ago for the first time by searching on Delta Skymiles for the flight I wanted which had availability then calling Virgin to book the ticket using my miles there. Everything worked smoothly.
Today I tried to do the same thing again for a different flight. Went onto Delta Skymiles and see 4 seats available in economy. I call up Virgin and they tell me there’s nothing available. Is the agent I spoke to misinformed or are there different buckets of tickets available to Delta and Virgin? Is there any way to see which tickets are available specifically for Virgin?
Thanks all
I’d be surprised if there was any difference in availability between Delta and Virgin. Not sure if Flying Blue has Saudia online but always worth checking with a third party too. If FB and Delta both have it then you’re simply dealing with bad Virgin agents.

Thanks Rob. Seems like Flying Blue also has availability, albeit only 1 vs 4 I can see on Delta. I’ll try again and see if getting a different Virgin agent makes a difference.
I’ve booked two flights on Saudia, using Virgin points, and it was definitely a case of HUACA.
I didn’t know you could search on Delta, so might try that next time.
Saudia seats are not easily visible to agents, if they do a simple search, they are usually searching on Middle East airlines only (which you can also search on Virgin’s website), but to check Saudia availability, they have to take the passenger’s name and DOB, and then ‘request’ the seat from Saudia, and it usually takes a couple mins for them to confirm availability.
Hi there- has anyone had success booking more than 3 seats? We called up today and every flight date or combination she tried had only 3 seats on points for redemption. The Saudia website had more available as did Delta. Does this mean Saudia are only releasing 3 seats to virgin for points bookings? Seems abit useless for families!
