We have an upcoming trip to Budapest and were wondering if anyone has any recommendations for the various spas & thermal baths? Been keeping an eye on the official websites to book a date but it seems to be limited to about 5-6 weeks out at any one time. Does anyone know if the online tickets get loaded on a certain day of the week or should we just stick to our current plan and keep watching the site?
I’d visit both the Gellert baths and the Szechenyi baths – both are incredible, and quite different to each other. If you’re feeling brave, play some chess!
Szechenyi baths are great, we just turned up on the day- slightly complicated ticketing system involving lockers etc and some quite brusque staff if you get it wrong!
Bring your own flip flops to avoid having to buy a pair at the shop!
