I am getting no availability for Avios flights to Vancouver from London on next years Reward Flight Availability Calendar when trying to book in business class There are flights if not using Avios in business, and also economy availability with Avios, but no business class, I have been looking at May or June but nothing is there at all, but I have read on this site that there should be at least 4 seats possible to book for each flight.
Am I looking too early/late or is the Reward Flight Availability Calendar not accurate ?They could already have been taken by others. Popular routes where there is a limited number of flights get snapped up quickly. Have you considered an indirect routing eg via BOS? Then use Avios to book on American Airlines or buy a cash ticket in North America
Popular routes may see the seats snapped up at 1am when they are released.
Just had a look on seatspy and yes looks slim pickings.
However Seattle has almost daily availability for June 2023 and its really not too far. My friends in Vancouver tend to visit the UK via Seattle as the flight options are better and don’t consider it too much hassle.
It’s possible they have already been booked.
If you have specific dates in mind then I’d search for those as I’ve read the calendar dosen’t always function properly.
As above – if you want avios seats on a popular route, you need to be online (or on the phone) on ba.com when they are released, as reward calendars (not sure which one you mean) aren’t always updated immediately.
