Cabin upgrade voucher on cash booking

Hey,

Flying to Newark for work. Due to penny pinching, I’m flying in Economy though for some reason it’s a flexible “B” class ticket, if that makes a difference.

I have more Barclays Cabin Upgrade vouchers than I know what to do with. Can I call BA and upgrade a corporate cash booking to Premium Economy with a voucher?

You can upgrade using Avios if there are seats and on the inbound from B it’s likely to only be around £20 in extra tax and fees (more outbound due to increased APD)

Price it up for cash on ba.com in the new classes and check the taxes and fees. Then get your eticket and check what you paid . If your TA didn’t provide this you can get from finnair, you may need to save your contact details in their manage booking screen first. The difference is what BA will charge . You may need to HUACA as lots of agents give you crazy numbers.

Avios difference should be the “mid point” number between pure Avios tickets so something like 13000 Avios but my last one they insisted it was the difference between the highest Avios numbers

Once you’ve done this your agent if you used one can’t amend the ticket and they/your company will be notified of the travel class change so bear that in mind
