Can I change hotel booked with Amex Travel?

Hi I have booked a hotel with Amex travel app using the £400 credit , I have now found another hotel thats better value
Question , how do I change my booking and will I lose the £400 credit .if I do change

Sadly not. I had the identical challenge last year and it was a case of cancelling with the refund coming back very quickly then the £100 credit being reversed a few days later.
