Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Can you use vouchers to upgrade flights on a Virgin Holiday (Hotel + Flight)?

I can’t see T&Cs stating one or the other on whether Virgin Vouchers (from Virgin card spend) can be used to upgrade the flights when booking a Virgin Package Holiday – Flight and Hotel.

Yes, with some caveats and bit of faff…..here’s what Virgin replied:

Yes, subject to availability and Virgin Holidays issuing your tickets you can look to upgrade your booking using your vouchers.

Please note the following bookings cannot be upgrade:

Economy Light tickets, Young Adults, Children and Infant tickets – these tickets will need to be fared as adults, Group bookings or codeshare flights or MOD fares.

Prior to booking I would recommend to check the availability to use your rewards by searching online via this link: http://www.virginatlantic.com/air-shopping/searchFlights.action selecting pay with points as these are the same seats we would need to use your rewards with.

Virgin Holidays will need to issue your ticket so you will need to discuss the timeframe of that with them direct. You are welcome to use your reward to upgrade yourself and your partner either one way or the return flight subject to availability and the number of rewards you have available.
