What happens to the Avios in my Amex account if I cancel the BA Amex Prem card? Will they be lost or get transferred across to BA? Thanks
Mine were lost so may be worth waiting for the transfer before cancellation.
You lose them, wait until theyve hit your BA account if they are worth waiting for (for smaller sums the additional pro rate fee in waiting may outweigh the value of the points).
Think I’ll take the hit and lose them, as I don’t want to miss the pro-rata dealing of end of feb (haven’t seen any news that this has changed?)
Was it ever said that pro-rata refunds were stopping at the of Feb? I thought Rob’s info was that they wouldn’t stop before the end of Feb… and he has said in the last couple of days that he strongly expects them to continue into March.
