Hi,
I got a BA PP card 3 months ago and have just managed to hit the £10k spend with the voucher appearing in my Avios account yesterday.
When i contacted Amex to cancel the card (and get the pro-rated refund) the advisor told me that to use the companion voucher I had to pay the taxes/fees with the same card that i earnt the voucher on. I had seen in previous HfP blogs that Amex customer service are known to say this despite it not being true but they disagreed and told me to check the T’s and C’s of the card.
On looking it does say that you need to use the same card to pay for it – is this new??! Or is it just never actually enforced?
Looking to cancel in the next few days to get as much of a refund as possible but dont want to risk losing the voucher.
Thanks
