Cancelling LHR -> HND business class seats in Apr

Hi,

I have two Avios seats in Club World (booked with Barclays upgrade voucher) departing 13:10 18/04/2025, as well as 2 Avios seats in Economy for the return, departing HND 13:05 on 04/05/2025.

I’m no longer able to make these flights but – knowing how difficult they are to book at this time of year – I’m wondering if there’s a way to transfer these to a friend? Can I call up and change name? Or if I co-ordinate with my friend when I’m going to cancel, will the seats become immediately available on the site?

No you can’t transfer them / change it to their name.

This would be a cancel and rebook situation and there is no guarantee that the seats will go back into inventory.

All you can do is arrange with your friend a time for you to cancel and for them to be ready to do the flight search.
