Cancelling, waiting and reapplying

I am just about to have taken full advantage of my Plat card sign up bonus and offers, and I’m genuinely in two minds about cancelling it or keeping it.

If I cancel now (as a BAPP card holder too), will I be – or when will I be – eligible for another Plat sign up bonus? Is it the usual 24 months?

If you cancel the plat can you then apply for the gold (without any bonus, obviously)?

You can just downgrade then – no need to cancel and reapply.
