@Jamesp21 Have they just acknowledged the claim via MCOL or have they just wrote to you directly to say they intend to defend? And have you got the hearing date set by the court?

Hi meta. I just logged into the MCOL website and saw they acknowledged it on the 14th. The PDF shows the box is ticked for them wishing to defend it. That’s all I’ve have from them up to now.

I wouldn’t read too much into it just yet. It’s normal when they acknowledge. They will probably cave in a few days or day before the hearing date once that is set. It is a tactic. If not, then be prepared and you can now ask them via court to provide documents such as filings with ATC, etc.

Update – Case won! Just received an email from BA offering me full compensation. Thanks all for your help on this, I’m very grateful.

Yay! I knew it. I am so happy for you.

Also don’t close the MCOL case until the money is in your account! BA are known to try it.

So what exactly have they offered? Under which heading?

@jamessp21 This is great news, glad you have it resolved.

I was on the flight of the 20th and not the previous day. If you don’t mind I may ask about your claim once I know what I should be doing?

Does anyone have any opinion on what I should do given that I’ve already started the CEDR process?

    Thanks
