Card strategy

Another card strategy question,

Player 2 has the BAPP at the moment, Player 1 has no Amex (BAPP cancelled over 2 years ago, PRGC cancelled in Feb 2021).

So my strategy is going to be P2 refers P1 to BAPP as the 2 yr cooling off period has passed, P1 then refers P2 for Platinum before the end of Oct for the extra bonus and in March ’23 P2 refers P1 for the Platinum.

My question is will Amex allow the BAPP bonus points even though P1 had the PRGC less than 2 years ago?

BAPP SUP eligibility is only affected by avios earning cards, so I would say yes.
