made the mistake of not reading the T&C’s when applying for a Purple Nectar card when I already have a Gold Amex. This meant I didn’t get the sign up bonus. What would be the next best card to apply for to get a signup bonus whilst still having a gold card? I have just been accepted for a Barclays CC which has a sign up of 10000. Are there any other cards I can apply for that will still give me a bonus? I don’t want to go for the platinum because I can’t afford the fees. Thanks in advance
Because you have the Gold you’re not eligible for Platinum sign up bonus either.
The only Amex you can get a sign up bonus for is the paid for BA premium plus (BAPP) if you haven’t had any Amex issued personal BA card in the past 24 months. BAPP currently has a 60k sign up offer via the BA website.
Honestly you’ve messed up a bit here as getting Nectar then BAPP then Platinum was the best route to maximising Avios.
