Centurion Lounge: do I have to buy the flight with American Express?

I recently bought a flight leaving Heathrow Terminal 3 with a Barclaycard.

I hold an American Express Platinum. Can I use it to visit the Centurion Lounge even if I didn’t use it to buy the ticket?

Yes you can, they don’t check how you paid for your flight

Yes, I’ve visited a few times now with my Amex Platinum – the flights were booked via works travel agency. They just need boarding pass and your Plat. card.
