Hi all, Does anyone know if Avios pricing has gone up again in the last few days?
I have an old style companion voucher to use and when I checked last week I could book a premium economy redemption to DEL from GLA for 95k Avios, today I went in to book and I’m being asked for 115k (the cash price remains the same and new flights still showing as off peak), a bit annoying as I only have just over 100k in my account at the moment and also as this is an old style voucher with no “more money/less avios” options available.
Was there a planned change to pricing? if so is there usually a timetable for when increases occur so I can avoid situations like this in the future as it caught me off guard a bit and now sorry I didn’t just book last week at the lower rate.
Thanks
The difference in your pricing is the difference between peak and off peak.
Have you tried other off peak dates to see if perhaps there is a gremlin on the pricing.
I can price it up at 95,000 + £330 off peak so I suspect something weird is happening BA IT wise.
Try a different device!
Thanks Froggee,
I was pretty certain the dates I chose were off peak as I did definitely understand this may be the reason for any difference, but now I try it again it seems to be coming up at 95k again, perhaps it was an IT error or maybe I was simply being a massive Idiot and clicking on the wrong dates! Appreciate the clarification though. Apologies for wasting everyones time
