Do I dimly recall that one of the benefits of Spire (or for other reasons), you can avoid paying a charge where one is being applied, ie The IC Mauritius when booking a double room or has that changed or never been the case?

Many thanks, I have now located the relevant rule in the Ambassador Ts&Cs. Has anyone use/relied on this before?
Do you book a double room for one guest and then two show up and it’s no problem or should I book for two, with the additional €300 showing in the rates and then ask for it to be removed at checkout?
Help appreciated.
